Located in the youth apartment district of southern Songyang County, Zhejiang Province, the project occupies an unfinished rooftop platform and vacant green space that had long remained available but unused. Guided by low cost, lightweight construction, and adaptability, the design introduces a red canopy, a spiral stair tower, modular service stations, and a figure-ground paving system. Together, these interventions reactivate circulation, spatial edges, and activity nodes, transforming the site into a shared public platform for the youth community.

The architectural language reinterprets traditional spatial types such as the corridor, tower, niche, and pavilion to support gathering, movement, shelter, and social interaction. The project emphasizes an open spatial framework and flexibility in use and management. With minimal material intervention, it restores public life to an overlooked urban space and proposes a place that can be collectively shaped, managed, and adapted over time.
